"Crown Down" Drilling Method
Any implant diameter requires only two drills to complete the entire osteotomy
Zero tolerance for implant failure!
Tapered implants, while tapping in, generate more force against the walls of the osteotomy. These implants are specially designed for the soft bone that can be significantly compressed. While using a Crown Down drilling method, the result is an osteotomy geometry opposite to the implant one. In other words, it is over-drilled in the cortical area and under-drilled in the trabecular area. That approach allows more significant bone compression. In some cases where the trabecular bone is very soft, this is the only way to achieve optimal primary implant stability.
