1. High capacity of the material to conduct heat.
Traditional drilling begins with a small drill following an incremental increase of the drill diameters. Unfortunately, that method causes nothing but bone tissue burning. "Crown Down" drills can conduct heat up to five times better than HSS drills, which practically cool the bone down PROTECTING IT FROM OVERHEATING.
Thanks to these excellent thermodynamic properties of the drill and the drilling method, "Crown Down" drilling is irrigation free.
2. "Crown Down" drilling uses mostly the medullary bone for the implant primary stability, allowing the threads to reach optimal densification and compression. Thus the implant not only has superior primary stability but also is getting locked faster in the bone. When inserting the implant, the torque starts at the very beginning and not at the end like it usually happens in the old drilling methods.
